We had an amazing experience at
Jackson County during our ultrasound day recently. Another one of our centers
sent a client to us who was very abortion minded since we would be able to see her before their next ultrasound
day. She showed
up, but appeared somewhat unresponsive during the ultrasound. The peer counselor discussed
her options with her, prayed with her, & encouraged her to call or come
back if she had any further questions. About an hour later the client
walked through our door & asked to speak with the counselor about
adoption! To put it in her words, this is how
she described it..."I left the center and drove to
Columbus to the place where I was planning to get the abortion. When I got to the bank, I turned
around & drove back here to talk about adoption!" What a beautiful picture of God
working! The client watched a dvd that day on
her options and before it was over she had asked the counselor to call the Adoption Support Center so she could
speak with someone! We have been in contact with her
several times since then and she is deciding between adoption and parenting.
How amazing to be part of such a wonderful work!
