Baby Bottle Fundraising Campaign

Is your church looking for a way to partner with the Pregnancy Care Center this Spring? Hosting a Baby Bottle Fundraising Campaign is a great way to not only partner with the PCC financially but to bring awareness of this life saving ministry to those in the local church. Churches who host a campaign simply hand out empty baby bottles, provided by the PCC, to each adult within their congregation. Families then take the bottles home for two, three or four weeks and fill with loose change. They then bring the bottles back to the church on a designated Sunday and the PCC will collect the bottles to total the change collected. The total will be reported back to the church so you can share with the church family how much was raised to help further the ministry.

It's a simple as that. Yet something so simple can be so powerful. The funds raised through the Baby Bottle Campaign helps provide pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, abortion recovery bible study materials, abstinence education materials, counseling and educational materials and material help such as diapers, formula and baby cloths at no cost to our clients. Every little bit of change collected will bless someone in need through the Pregnancy Care Center.

Baby Bottles Ready to Go!

Many churches like to incorporate a Heart for Change Baby Bottle Campaign into their Mother's Day and Father's Day celebrations. A Baby Bottle Campaign is a great way to involve your church in supporting local missions as well as highlighting the amazing role of Mother's and Father's in the life of a child. It's easy to do and anyone of any age can participate. Here is how it works:

1. Pregnancy Care Center supplies your church with all the baby bottles you need. (Average is one per adult). You can pick them up at one of our centers or we can deliver them to your church. The members of your congregation then take between 3-6 weeks to fill their baby bottle with spare change, cash and/or checks. At the conclusion of the campaign, the PCC will pick up the bottles, empty the change and communicate how much was collected back to your church.

2. Each bottle contains an insert that explains the purpose of the bottles and how the money raised will benefit the Pregnancy Care Center ministry. It also contains the due date of when the bottles should be returned to the church. In addition, we have bulletin inserts and announcements we can email to your church secretary to help with your promotion efforts.

3. Pregnancy Care Center staff members are always available to come to your church to share about the ministry whether in Sunday School classes or during a church service.

To sign up for a baby bottle campaign at your church or to schedule a speaker, give us a call (toll free) at 866-510-5067. We have lots of bottles ready and waiting to go to your church. Call today!

Dressing Up to Play the Part

Recently First Baptist Church in Shelbyville embarked on a Baby Bottle Campaign during their Vacation Bible School. The goal was to raise $700 for the Pregnancy Care Center but Larry Fisher had a bigger goal. He not only wanted to raise money for the PCC but to get the students excited about the ministry. So Larry promised to dress up like a baby if their VBS goal was reached and as you can tell he makes a pretty good baby. Such dedication!

If your church is interested in participating in a Baby Bottle Campaign you can contact Abby Glasser at abbyg@affirminglifeonline.org or call the office at 812-378-4114 or toll free at 866-510-5067. We won’t make you dress up like a baby…we promise!

Message in a Bottle

Message in a Bottle

Last year over 100 churches completed a Baby Bottle Campaign, over 12,500 bottles were distributed and over $70,000 was raised. Many times we might receive checks or cash in the bottles instead of coins, however, in one bottle we received a special message from one of our donors. His note read: “I am adopted—so, that means I was not aborted. Now I was born in 1942 and I don’t know how many abortions were being done back then—but probably not many and as a result I was lucky to be adopted. I have never been able to find out who my biological parents are—the records were not kept very well back then with the war going on and all. The Lord blessed me and I am a Christian believer. I know this money will go to good use. In Christ’s Love.”

How great it was to find that message. Praise God for that mother who chose life for her son and for the family who adopted him. Even in 1942 God was at work in the lives of moms, dads and babies; not to mention families wanting to adopt babies. The donor called it luck that he was adopted and not aborted, but God would say it was simply His will being done. Now 68 years later we see how God’s will is always good, pleasing and perfect (Romans 12:2).
