Choose to Wait Speaking Valuable Message to 6th Grade Students

We recently got word that the Bartholomew County School Corporation approved bringing our 6th grade Choose to Wait sexual integrity program into all of the 6th grade classrooms in Bartholomew County. We praise God for the opportunity to be in 11 schools during the fall semester reaching approximately 900 students!  The message of the Choose to Wait Elementary program is designed to reveal to upper elementary students the value of self and importance of boundaries for a healthy lifestyle. A key to this message is addressing healthy lifestyle choices beyond that of physical. By examining mental, emotional, social, and ethical choices and consequences in conjunction with boundary setting, students are empowered to reach their full potential and maximize their ability to reach future goals.

Comments from recent 6th grade presentations include:

  • “I think this is a great program.  Very informative and appropriate for 6th grade.  A much needed program in our schools.”   Elementary Teacher
  •  “Thank you so much!  This program is necessary and relevant for pre-teens.  I’m so glad that you are in our public schools.”  Elementary Teacher
  • “I choose to save sex for marriage because I don’t want the baggage.”  Elementary Student
  • “Program really helped, thank you.”  Elementary Student
  • “Thank you for all you have done for us and for teaching us this valuable lesson.  I am going to need this info.  I cannot thank you enough.”  Elementary Student
  • “I choose to save sex until marriage because I want to be healthy.”  Elementary Student
