New Space Provides More Counseling

The Jennings County Center recently did some remodeling to make room for an additional counseling room. The new space, which is newly furnished by a generous donor, will primarily be used for the Men’s Ministry as Kim Bevers, Jennings County Men’s Ministry volunteer, needed a room that would be welcoming and comfortable for the male clients that come in, especially during ultrasounds.

Jane Bevers, Jennings County Center Manager, said “Kim has a poster framed of the Colts stadium that he put on the wall. He is a fan of former colts coach Tony Dungy and often uses quotes and stories from his book Uncommon as he talks with the men about how important the father is in a child’s life.” Last year, Jennings County served 640 client visits with 66 of those being male clients. Just think of the number the center can reach in 2012 with the extra space! The room will also be used anytime the other counselors need the space.
